Shock wave therapy does not apply electric shock. The MiniWave ESWT is applied by holding a lightweight handpiece against the skin, creating a unique radial wave that penetrates the surrounding target tissue. Energy is spread over a large surface area. The intensity of treatment can be controlled at variable hertz (Hz) or frequencies of 1 to 21 cycles / sec and provides impulses of 10 to 190 millijoules (mJ), precisely adjustable per 5mJ. It can be easily adjusted through single-finger swiping on front panel of main unit, pressing buttons on handpiece or operate on an iPhone/Android phone. Dual channels output makes it possible to apply treatment with 2 different transmitters intervalley, or long time treatment applications (one working and one rest with heat dispelling at the same time).
